DJ Nicole Hyala finally opens up about her struggles with her daughter, Princess, who was recently rushed to ICU and was in coma.

Last June 7, together with her husband Renly Tiñana, they revealed that Princess suffered from meningoencephalitis, or a inflammation in brain and on its protective membranes.

“She was always sleeping. Yun ang na-notice namin na parang kakaiba. Nung April 16 na nagkalagnat siya, nakatulog siya sa online class niya.

“Hindi naman nangyayari yun. Lagi naman puyat yung batang iyan. Para sa amin, kakaiba.

 

“Right after her class, natulog siya uli. E, ito yung tipo ng bata na kailangan mo pilitin matulog.”

 

Added the DJ, Princess’s fever reportedly reached 38.5 and 38.6 degrees Celsius, but she did not have a convulsion.

It’s just that she was still sound asleep on his first day in the hospital.

Only Nicole was with Princess in the hospital because of the safety protocol that only one guardian could watch over her.

“Yung moments na gising siya, ‘Blah, blah, blah…’ Parang nagba-bubble siya. So, sabi ko, ‘Parang may something. What’s happening?”

 

Lalo pang nabahala si Nicole nang irekomenda ng doktor na ipatingin ang bata sa espesyalistang neuro-pediatrician.

“Grabe na yung nerbiyos ko. ‘Bakit neuro-pedia, e, lagnat lang naman meron siya, di ba?’

“Iyak na ako nang iyak. Dalawang araw ko na di nakakausap. E, ang daldal ni Princess.

“Napakahirap para sa akin na hindi ko naririnig kuwento niya, hindi ko naririnig tawa niya.

“Siyempre nagulat kami. Akala namin lagnat lang. Yun pala, brain inflammation.

“I know for a fact dahil may experience ako sa sister ko na nagkaroon noon, I know that it’s not an easy disease kasi brain yung tinamaan.”

Fortunately, with lots of prayers afterwards, Princess slowly recovered form her family’s nightmare.
