Ang anak ng veteran singer-actor na si Gary Valenciano, ay inihayag sa publiko ang kanyang nakakabiglang karamdaman ngayon. Ito ang anak ni Gary V. na si Gab Valenciano na diagnosed na may prediabetes.
Ito ay naging anunsyo mismo ni Gab sa kanyang social media account noon lamang November 1, 202. Nagbahagi siya ng mga larawan kung saan siya ay nasa ospital at nakikipagkalaban sa kanyang karamdaman.

Sa caption ni Gab sa kanyang Instagram, “This weekend put a lot of things into perspective for me. Gave me time to think about where I am in my life and what kind of adjustments I needed to make to be the best I can be moving forward.”
Aniya pa, “Majority of the results came in and by the grace of God, are normal; some even better than expected. But unfortunately, I am now a pre-diabetic and it is important to not just take care of my mental health, but physical health as well. Major changes will be made to better myself in every aspect of my life. Be it personal or professional.”

Ang sakit na pinagdadaanan ngayon ni Gab, marahil ay hindi na nakakapagtaka dahil ang kanyang amang si Gary V. ay mayroong Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes noong siya ay 14-taong gulang pa lamang. Hanggang noong 2005, ay na-coma matapos nitong atakihin ng kanyang hypoglycemic. Sumailalim din si Gary V. ng isang open-heart surgery noong 2018 dahil nagkaroon ng pagbara ang kanyang left anterior descending artery nang dahil sa sakit na diabetes.
Kaya hindi na rin nakapagtataka na namana ni Gab ang ganitong klaseng karamdaman sa kanyang ama. Samantala, sa kanyang post pinasalamatan din ni Gab ang kanyang doktor at nurse na lubos na nag-alaga sa kanya. Gayundin din sa kanyang pamilya at mga mahal sa buhay na nagdasal at nanalangin para sa kanyang kalagayan.
