This eco-friendly wedding was indeed one of the greatest wedding ever Wedding is a celebration of union of two different people binded by love and commitment united by marriage.
There are different customs and traditions when it comes to marriage in different countries as well as here in the Philippines. Here in our country it is a tradition to have “pamamanhikan” or the so called “parental marriage proposal” where the groom to be and his family will ask the hand of the bride to be in the parents and when the other party agrees they will plan and talk about the marriage details such as the date, finances, guest lists and many more.
It was indeed a little bit stressful working on the wedding preparations itself but somehow very rewarding and fulfilling knowing that the wedding will be the start of your married life with the person you love the most and together you will build a harmonious and God-centered family.
There was this video that went viral on social media, where the wedding entourage rode a bike in going to the wedding proper. The bride wearing her beautiful wedding gown while riding her bike has gained so much attention from the passersby and the crowd. Her groom was also beside her cycling his bike and other individuals that are part of the entourage. It was very amusing witnessing these little acts of care to pure mother nature, not just an eco-friendly wedding but you could feel and see the sincerity of the couple being so simple on their big day.
As much as they wanted to show everyone how they love biking and how they care for our environment, their simplicity, sincerity, and their amazing personality had been a great example to each and everyone of us.
It was not just all about expensive cars, expensive flowers and expensive clothes that was important on a wedding. It is all about the life of a couple being shared to each and every family member, friends and relatives. We should stop being so materialistic and focus on the monetary value of something on our special day.
The said viral video already had 73 thousand views and 879 shares as of this writing.
As many of our elders would have advised each and every one of us, prepare and plan for your married life rather than preparing and spending all your money and savings on your wedding day. It is always better to be practical, to think for the future rather than satisfying what you just want and what others prefer on a single moment.
