Most of Raffy Tulfo‘s guests on his show “Itimbre Mo Kay Tulfo” are common people facing serious cases. However, recently his guest on his show was none other than Xander Ford. This time, the social media celebrity pleaded for help against his online bashers.
According to Xander, the malicious comments and threats aimed at him started when a footage of him criticizing the Kapamilya Teen Queen Kathryn Bernardo went viral. He claimed that his statement was just for a video reaction and he already apologized to the actress.
He narrated:
“Tanggap ko na, na mali ako. Tinanggap ko po ‘yun, nagso-sorry po ako. Sabi ko nga kung pwede lang lumuhod, luluhod ako sa kan’ya (Kathryn). Sobrang sakit lang po sakin kasi po parang kumbaga, wala nang place kung saan ako pe-pwesto kasi parang natatakot ako sa kanila (bashers) dahil nga ‘yung mga comment po nila sakin na parang kapag nakita raw nila ako sa kanto, babarilin daw nila ako.”
During the interview, Raffy even called Xander’s situation as “Karma.” After listening to his story, the outspoken broadcaster directed Xander to apologize to those celebrities he insulted on his “video reactions.”
Although there is nothing new in celebrities getting bashed, Raffy assured that serious threats should not be tolerated. His team then contacted a person named Dave Alvarez who according to Xander uploaded his viral video and is also one of his bashers on Facebook.
Apparently, there seemed to be a misunderstanding about Xander’s case. Alvarez clarified that he did not send any threats to Xander Ford. Raffy then clarified to Xander that they couldn’t file legal charges against Alvarez if the only complaint they have against him is regarding the video. While Raffy was having a conversation with Alvarez, he stressed that his program isn’t intended for showbiz issues.
“Sandali lang po ano, hindi po showbiz itong programa. Pasensya na po sa inyong dalawa, Dave at sayo, Xander. Kasi ang pagkakaalam ko (pauses) Xander kaya kita pinayagang makaupo rito dahil ang akala ko ikaw ay pinagbabantaan. Pero kung ang pag-uusapan n’yo mga Nadine, Kathryn Bernardo, at tungkol sa mga sakang. I mean, I don’t wanna be part of that. Ngayon, mapunta tayo sa pinaka-issue, mayron ba talagang pagbabanta galing dito kay Mr. Alvarez?”
However, Xander clarified that his concern was all about the video that Alvarez uploaded. According to him, that footage was one of the factors why netizens threatened him. In the end, they both settle the issues by forgiving each other’s mistakes.
