Nagbubunyi at nagpapasalamat ngayon ang mga taga suporta ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte dahil sa wakas ay sinimulan na ang paunang bahagi ng trabaho para sa Bulacan Airport.
Sinimulan na ng Diversified conglomerate San Miguel Corporation ang unang bahagi ng P734 bilyon peso na airport project ni Pangulong Duterte.
Ayon sa Transportation assistant secretary Giovanni Lopez ang geotechnical investigation at engineering surveys ay nasa 80 percent na para sa tinaguriang “The New Manila International Airport”.
Inaantay na lamang umano ang lab results at interpretasyon mula sa Singapore-based firms. Ang isinagawang survey and relocation ay makakatulong umano sa pagfifinale ng earthwork at foundating design at maging daan para maiayos at maitama ang mga kailangan ayusin.
Ayon pa sa inilathala ng Tribune.net.ph, “the execution of the studies started around the second week of May through the assistance of the Department of Transportation (DoTr) Project Management Office, which provided security passes to various project contractors and consultants to ensure health and safety protocols are strictly observed.”
Una ng sinabi ni Transportation chief Arhur Tugade sa Malacañang briefing na hindi madedelay ang proyektong ito.
Matatandaan na hindi itinuloy ng SMC ang groundbreaking nito noong December 2019 dahil sa mga “private issues”.
Hindi pa nagbigay ng bagong schedule para sa groundbreaking ang DoTr at SMC, ngunit sinigurado nila na matutuloy ang proyekto kahit na mataas na ang naging delay.
Ang proyektong airport na ito ni Pangulong Duterte ay 2,400 hectare property sa Bulakn, Bulacan na mayroong apat na runways, walong taxiways at tatlong passenger terminals at nakaabang para sa future expansion na pwedeng maging anim na runways at makaka accomodate ng 200 million passengers kada taon.
