It’s called the “Bayongciaga” bag. Yes, with a capital “B.”
According to the report of the Philippine Entertainment Portal, Sandara Park brought it from Divisoria, one of the most well-known thrift shopping centers in the Metro.
She shared a picture of it on her personal Twitter account with the handle of @krungy21. As of this writing, the Korean darling’s post has reached 6,381 retweets and 38,062 likes from netizens.

However, it seemed as if the bag has been around for some time now. It was in September 2016 when the “palengke bag” – as it was called – gained online attention after the designer brand Balenciaga released its Cabas Shopper handbag at the Demna Gvasalia’s fall and winter fashion show.
According to the source, lots of Filipinos saw its similarity to the Pinoy “bayong,” which is used to shop in “palengkes” and thrift markets. Balenciaga released their bag with a retail price of $2,000 (₱102,832.00). Some commented that you could purchase the typical “bayong” at around ₱10.00 only.
