Nadine Lustre and her family are facing a tough time as her younger brother, Isaiah Lustre, committed suicide days ago. In a previous report, the actress opened up about depression in one of her Instagram posts.
As quoted from the published report, Nadine wrote the following:
“If you ever hit rock bottom, don’t be ashamed of opening up to your loved ones. If anyone understands and cares about what you’re going through, it’s them. You are who/what you say you are.”
“If you think you’re weak, you will be weak. If you tell yourself you are not worthy, you will be unworthy. But, if you say you’re strong, you will be strong and If you tell yourself you can do it, you can do anything.”
According to Philippine Entertainment Portal, the actress found out that Isaiah Lustre suffered from depression and a failed romance prior to his death.
She discovered his blog site on Medium, where the following words were written in his profile description:
“Going through phases the best way I can and trying to do the right thing.”
The source said that the teenager’s posts were filled with work created while in depression from June 2016 to July 2017 due to his failed relationship with someone he loved for a long time.
In his posts dated June 27 to September 7, 2016, Isaiah detailed that he frequently wanted to be alone. He also said that he had several problems that he does not know how to handle or solve.
According to the source, he wrote about “emptiness, painful feelings, restless nights” and “confusion.” They quoted some words from his post dated as early as July 25, 2016, which said:
“…i always end up thinking, you ask what?, pretty much about everything, what i do, what i should do, what i shouldnt, it doesn’t feel wrong, but it also doesn’t feel right, a little bit of both maybe”
“…there’s this feeling that keeps coming back, cant explain it, its heavy from time to time, confusion maybe?”
“…i wonder what it is, I cant seem to fill it or satisfy it.”
On August 6, 2016, Isaiah wrote the following excerpt from his post:
“…itd be a miracle to find anyone in the same hole with me, maybe thats what I need? Someone to lean on?”
From September 7 to December 7, 2016, he talked about his experiences on failed romance and “unrequited love.”
However, by 2017, the teenager’s posts turned dark. On June 26, 2017, he wrote that he attempted to end his life. According to him:
“Ive tried to kill myself, once, with a shard of glass in hand I tried to cut deep on my arms but to no avail, now that I look back to it now, what difference would it make?”
“Absolutely nothing. When you die in this world people may hold a funeral for you, maybe a few people will cry, and leave some sad for days, weeks, months, years, then what?”
“They all move on with their lives, why? Because there is no use in being sad, there is no use crying for something that is already gone, because it wont change a god damn thing.”
