Kiray Celis has been working since she was three years old and her dream has been to provide a house for her family. Through hard work and sheer discipline, Kiray has fulfilled her promise and provided her family with an expensive house. It may have taken a long time but better late than never, right?
We have loved Kiray since we saw her in “Goin’ Bulilit.” Her comedic talent has only grown through the years and her skill as an actress have developed. Not only is she great in comedy but Kiray can hold her own in a dramatic scene. She has proven herself to be deserving of projects so she was blessed with them.
Through these blessings, Kiray was able to earn enough to buy a grand house. When PEP asked her what was the most expensive thing she bought herself, the actress answered honestly, saying that it was furniture or things needed for the home she has built.
Being the financier, Kiray oversaw how their home was built from start to finish. During that time, Kiray disciplined herself on her shopping priorities. The actress was kikay and she loved shoes and clothes. But since she had to save, Kiray turned away from it for a while to focus on more practical items.
“Dati, mahilig ako sa mga damit, sa mga sapatos. Hindi kasi ako mahilig sa sobrang mamahalin. Naghihinayang ako, sobrang nanghinayang talaga ako. Kasi super ipon talaga. Ngayon kapag pumupunta ako ng mall, gamit pang-bahay na pinupuntahan ko. Ang sarap kasi, nakikita mo yung pagod mo, lahat.“
The total cost for the house was PHP 5 to 8 million and Kiray proudly declares that the house is fully paid.
“Fully paid na yung bahay… Meron siya hanggang apat na floor, and may sari-sariling kuwarto kami ng mga kapatid ko… Sobrang sarap sa feeling!“
The actress may look to buy another apartment so that she could rent it to other people as a new source of income. For this petite actress, big dreams are ahead.
